Day For Night alum Princess Nokia has just dropped her new mixtape, A Girl Cried Red, via Rough Trade Records. The “Shape-Shifting New York City Emcee,” as her team says, has been making quite a wave lately, and 2017’s 1992 Deluxe was no exception. The record was a blend of thoughtful, politically-fueled lyrics and funky beats and samples.

The tracklisting for the mixtape follows:

  1. Flowers and Rope
  2. Your Eyes Are Bleeding
  3. For The Night
  4. Look Up Kid
  5. Interlude
  6. Morphine
  7. At The Top
  8. Little Angel

A Girl Cried Red features the single “Your Eyes Are Bleeding,” which can be heard here and seen here. A self-described “emo mixtape,” there is no doubt that the artist — also known as Destiny Frasqueri — is not afraid to stray from the path. Moreover, this video is directed by Nokia and Milah Libin.
